Parsnip Pop Ups are an online community of artists dedicated to a session of deep work. The Parsnip Ship wants to give our collaborators and friends a welcoming online space to work for a few hours and meet other artistic collaborators in NYC and around the country. Feeling like a productive and connected artist in the city has become a bit harder during social isolation, but that doesn't mean we can't continue to inspire each other to get some writing done. Let's get to work!

The Parsnip Ship is bringing back radio plays...for the digital age! Audience members can tune in to free live streams of our archive of episodes on Facebook Live @TheParsnipShipNY. Much like radio plays in the olden days, audiences tune into the live stream and listen in sync with other audience members listening at home. Some live broadcasts feature new and live updated interviews with the playwrights. 

An event series to discover in-progress hidden gems by some of today's most exciting and dynamic American playwrights, who range in perspectives and engage with them in conversation! 

Here’s how it works: Participants sign up and are sent the play the night before the event and have 24 hours to read the script. The "club" meets via video conferencing for a live conversation and Q&A with the playwright. Parsnip Play Club functions like a book club; these events are NOT live play readings with actors.

Parsnip Happy Hour is a live virtual event series that offers a platform for artists to share their talents, crafts and hobbies with an audience. We have engaging events featuring artists playing original music, presenting a short script or monologue, giving a drag makeup tutorial, showing off their favorite cocktail, teaching a floor dancing class, and walking novices through the do's and don'ts of accent work, to name a few.
